Description

Ball bearing from the Danish ball bearing specialist CeramicSpeed® in size R8 (12.7 x 28.575 x 7.938 mm) for the bearing of wheelchair wheels with a 1/2″ axle diameter.

All CeramicSpeed bearings are handmade in Denmark. The super-smooth grade 3 silicon nitride CeramicSpeed balls are matched with hardened steel raceways (accurate to within a few microns) that have an ultra-smooth polished groove.

The balls are held in place by a reinforced polyamide cage. Each bearing is optimised with a low viscosity CeramicSpeed “Blue Grease” to minimise friction and increase bearing life. Non-contact seals seal the bearings and keep dirt and moisture out. The benefits are super low friction, better power transmission and increased bearing life.

During the construction process, each bearing is hand-checked four times to ensure that all parts are perfectly matched. CeramicSpeed balls are 400% smoother, 128% harder and 58% lighter than standard steel balls normally used in bearings. If you compare CeramicSpeed balls to other ceramic balls in the industry, you will find that CeramicSpeed balls are 15% harder, 99% can handle higher loads and 100% are smoother.
