Description
Inexpensive and solid option for bolting hand rims with lugs to the drive wheel if there are no threaded rivets in the rim.
The nuts are self-locking due to a plastic insert. The nuts have a low form with an overall height of 5 mm and an 8 mm hexagon socket. They can be mounted with a socket, open-ended spanner or ring spanner with 8 mm width across flats.
Available in galvanised steel or A4 stainless steel.
Galvanised steel is sufficiently resistant to corrosion for most applications. A4 stainless steel should be used where there is an increased risk of corrosion, for example in coastal regions, as this material is resistant to acid and seawater.
The nuts are shiny silver and have a weight of 1.0 g / piece.
We recommend the use of (underlay) discs for optimum load distribution and to avoid surface damage to the push rim straps!
The maximum tightening torque is determined by the screw material. As a guideline, we recommend a maximum tightening torque of 5 Nm for M5 screws if there are no other specifications.
